Second Mobile Mammography Clinic

Work has completed on the 2nd mobile clinic to be sent to Cuba when funds are available. As evidenced by the photos, a lot of hard work has gone into this. Both MEMO and the people of Cuba are eternally grateful!

Fall and Winter 2011

A collection of photos over the last few months detailing some of the work MEMO is involved with in Thunder Bay and in Cuba

Mammography Program

One of MEMO's most significant projects is the Mammography program. The program is run out of a tailor-made breast cancer screening clinic and since its inception in 2009 has saved dozens of women's lives through the detection of cancer early on.

Summer 2010

Pics from the Summer 2010 - including the Cuban Junior National Baseball team's visit to Thunder Bay and Dr. Aurora's training in Canada.

Feb 2010 Medical/Technical Trip

A group of Thunder Bay volunteers and several medical personnel from across Canada joined Jerome for a trip to Cuba to work in the Villa Clara hospitals.

MEMO Dolls

MEMO Dolls is a project that seeks to provide homemade dolls for children suffering from cancer in Villa Clara.

Computerizing Cuban Hospitals

Through generous donations, old computers have been put to great use in Cuba. Computers that may have Windows 98 are still preferred over typewriters!

Packing Days

A significant reason for MEMO's success is the many volunteers who come out for packing days. With a great deal of work and commitment, we are able to pack a full-size trailer in half a day usually!
